It's been slightly more than 3 weeks since I had my acl op and this post is just my way of keeping track of my progress so here goes:
I can walk better and faster now, compared to the first week after my op where my top speed was probably that of a ground sloth haha. My knee buckles less when I walk too and when I stand up after sitting down for some time, my knee also doesn't hurt as much when I try to straighten and walk around so that's a really huge relief / a good thing. I was always afraid I couldn't get off the public transport at my stop in time cause my knee will usually hurt quite a bit when I try to stand up and walk after I sit down for some time. I usually have to walk with my knee bent when that's the case but nowadays I can just straighten my leg and walk as per normal right after sitting down for a prolonged period:) In fact, I went shopping for half the day yesterday with my mom for office attire cause I iz going to have many presentations requiring that (probably) this sem!:( compared to my max limit of about 1 hour of shopping just a week ago during christmas week this is actually pretty good progress right? knee flexion is at 125 degrees now and according to my physio my knee is actually faring pretty well for a 3 wks post op knee so thumbs up to that haha. Aside from that, I must admit that sticking to my 3 times a day physio exercises is SO HARD! Ok I admit that I'm lazy. I feel fat and flabby from all the lack of exercise for the past 3 weeks but I still can't bring myself to do arms / core exercises at home even though I have plenty of time to spare:p I will try to get some of that done when I shift back in hall. But half the time, it probably won't happen haha. Can't wait to be able to play ball cause that's like the only form of exercise that make me feel like I'm having fun more than I'm exercising.
Ok done with my update for my own reference next time. On a side note, school is starting in less than a week! nooooooo:(
